SongSisters Festival Performers In order of appearance. 1:30pm Stage C Indian Summer Jars www.SonicBids.com/indiansummerjars Celtic and earthy, visceral and new, Indian Summer Jars creates a whole environment of their own with their ever flowing rhythms, words, and harmonies. 2:00pm Stage B SKooBER www.skoober.net SKooBER is an upstate NY pop/rock band that mixes classic pop hooks (The Beatles, Cheap Trick, Badfinger..etc.) with a modern power-pop sound (Letters To Cleo, Rooney, Sloan..etc.). In 2007 the band signed with Jealousy Records (Tim Anthony, Ed James, Hanne Sorvaag.etc). 2:45pm Stage A Caitlin Jane www.myspace.com/caitlinjanetunes “Piano driven songs with beautiful vocals and powerful, reflective lyrics. She has toured the east coast, playing in new york city, philadelphia and boston and many colleges. Charismatic rapper I'mani, 18, is still on curfew, but she doesn't mind. She's thrilled to be alive, and doing what she loves; performing. She has the heart of an old soul; warm and worldly. She's excited to be able to vote, and wants to encourage other young people to exercise that precious gift. Her social conscience, eagerness to help steer the destiny of her America, and personal modesty set I'mani apart from the more flirty-dirty, eager-to-please girl rappers. Her name translates to 'faith,' and she wears it well. 5:30pm Stage B PIZZA SERVED RAFFLE WINNERS ANNOUNCED 5:45pm Stage C Jessy Tomsko www.jessytomsko.com/ Jessy Tomsko is a Philadelphia-based singer/songwriter who is stepping into the spotlight with her uniquely confessional music that is both innovative and daring. She recently released her self-titled debut EP, and in August 2008, she will travel to Tennessee to perform at the 3-day Rrollover Dover Music Festival. With influences such as Joni Mitchell and Ani Difranco, Jessy was the first place winner in the Folk category for Ourstage.com's July songwriting competition. She is pleased to be part of this year's SongSisters Festival. 6:00pm Stage A Donovan Roberts www.donovanrobertsduo.com A little something old, a little something new, occasionally borrowed and always a little blue - Donovan Roberts is an acoustic duo, combining the vocals of Lori Donovan and the guitar skills and songwriting of Jeff Roberts. 6:30pm Stage B Almost Awake www.myspace.com/almostawake “Authentic Piano Driven Pop from Philadelphia" The sound of Almost Awake is reminiscent of “pivotal moments in non-existent Broadway musicals.” 7:00pm Stage A Ange and Ris www.angeandris.com "Ange and Ris have a close harmony scheme that makes them sound as if they were overdubs of the same person.
