Meet the Hosts
Ange and Ris

Angela “Ange” Sheikholeslami and Larisa “Ris” Forest are a female singer/songwriter duo working together since 2002. Ange and Ris are both classically trained musicians who have discovered “a melded, feminine, captivating sound [involving] intense keyboarding and vocal harmonies coming together with creative beats and aesthetic, subtle electronica. (artistovation.com)” The duo released their first professionally recorded album entitled “...not me” in July 2007 and are regularly featured at established venues throughout the east coast. These two have a passion for using music as encouragement and to bring people together in a safe and supportive community. www.angeandris.com

DelCo Pregnancy Center
What’s it about?
Delaware County Pregnancy Center is a Christian non-profit, privately funded ministry that serves the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of women before, during and after an unplanned pregnancy. This is done through abstinence education, pregnancy testing, ultrasound verification, counseling, information on fetal development, adoption and parenting. We also educate on the risks and complication of abortion. We have a parenting program that helps the women with material goods such as maternity clothing and baby supplies. www.toughchoice.org

As female musicians in a challenging world, Ange&Ris
seek to bring other women together in support of DCPC,
a wonderful organization that helps women of all ages and
backgrounds make difficult decisions regarding pregnancy and walks with them through the process. The goal of SongSisters Festival is to raise awareness of this tiny, fledgling safe place for women of Chester/Greater Delaware County making the tough choices involved in their unplanned pregnancies and provide DCPC with much needed financial support. The SongSisters Benefit Music Festival gathers female independent artists together for a day of music celebrating life, love, and relationships. The event is family-friendly, open to the public and will feature several regionally and nationally recognized artists. Suggested ticket donation cost is $10 for adults with all event proceeds going to support DCPC’s work in the community. Participating artists are invited to sell their cd’s and merchandise at the event location.http://www.toughchoice.orgshapeimage_5_link_0
